The week before your wedding should be about enjoying the excitement, not scrambling to figure out what still needs to be done.

By this point, the major decisions should already be made. What’s left is confirming the details, communicating with your vendors, and making sure everyone knows what needs to happen and when.

Here’s a simple checklist to help you head into your wedding day feeling prepared and confident.

Your final guest count affects more than just the seating chart.

Your caterer, venue, rental company, décor team, and other vendors may all need an accurate number to finalize their preparations. Make sure your RSVP list is up to date and communicate the final number to everyone who needs it.

Tip: Don’t leave this until the last couple of days. Give your vendors enough time to make adjustments.

One week out is the perfect time for a final vendor check-in.

Confirm:

Having everyone working from the same timeline can prevent unnecessary confusion on the wedding day.

Your floor plan should be more than an idea at this point – it should be finalized.

Make sure you know where the tables, chairs, bar, dance floor, stage, entertainment, and décor elements will go.

A clear floor plan also helps your setup team work efficiently once they arrive at the venue.

This is the time to make sure the finished look matches what you envisioned.

Double-check your:

Small details can make a big difference, especially when they all come together in the final space.

Planning an outdoor wedding in The Bahamas? Have a Plan B.

Even if the forecast looks perfect, it’s smart to know what happens if the weather changes. Your backup plan could involve an alternate area, adjusted setup, tents, or changes to the event layout.

The goal isn’t to worry about the weather, it’s to make sure you’re prepared for it.

Here’s one of the biggest favors you can do for yourself:

Don’t be the person everyone calls on your wedding day.

Choose someone you trust to handle vendor questions, deliveries, timing issues, and last-minute decisions.

You should be getting ready, taking photos, celebrating, and enjoying the moment—not trying to figure out where the cocktail tables are.

This one sounds obvious, but it’s easy to forget.

Eat properly. Stay hydrated. Get some sleep. Put the phone down when you can.

You’ve spent months planning this day. The final week isn’t the time to try to personally control every little detail.

Your job on the wedding day is simple:

Be present. Enjoy your people. Get married. ????

A beautiful wedding isn’t just about how the finished space looks.
